The Golf Club of Newport golf course was designed by world renowned golf course architect Geoffrey Cornish and is located 12 miles northeast of Utica and 13.5 miles from Herkimer in a beautiful serene country setting overlooking Kuyahoora Valley. Featuring multiple tees, large undulating greens, and more than 60 bunkers, the golf course provides great enjoyment to golfers of all abilities.

The course was featured as a "Hidden Gem" by New York Golf magazine in their 1999 annual issue.
